This is a full time post however, part time may also be considered. Please state your preference on your application. Outline You will join the amazing team at MacIntyre School in Wingrave, a vibrant and diverse 41-week residential/day school with superb facilities and resources. We support children and young people aged 10-19 who have severe learning disabilities, behaviours that challenge, and communication difficulties. You will lead a class of up to 6 children many of whom are on the autism spectrum. You will inspire and lead a team of learning support staff and be key to ensuring all teams (behaviour, residential, therapy and families) work holistically to provide the best possible outcomes and experiences for our children and young people. You will hold QTS and will ideally have completed your NQT year, although we would consider an exceptional newly qualified teacher with some relevant experience. Experience of TEACCH and PECS would be an advantage. Your experience might be in special schools or mainstream education, either primary or secondary. Learning activities may include; physical exercise (e.g. climbing, swimming, walking, water sports), work experience (e.g. on a farm), community access (e.g. in shops or cafes) or class based activities (e.g. music and dance & creative arts).
