Job Description

Riverside have an excellent opportunity for an Income Management Officer working full-time, on a permanent basis. This role will based in the West Bromwich area. You wil work Monday to Friday 9am-5pm. You will earn £28,907.00. What will you do? To be responsible for the delivery of the income management service, minimising loss of income by taking swift and appropriate action to recover debts whilst ensuring a fair and consistent approach to customer care. Day to day Your key responsibilities as Riverside's Income Management Officer: • To attend court and represent Sandwell Council in applying for possession and warrants. • Liaise closely with the Neighbourhood Team leader and the housing management team in delivering the income management service. • Deliver the income management service in accordance with Riversides, Sandwell Council and contractual policies and procedures and statutory requirements ensuring prompt and appropriate action is taken to recover debts. • Regular monitoring of rent and leasehold accounts to identify cases requiring action to recover debts. • To deputise for the Neighbourhood Team Leader in managing the cash collection service (PARIS) based at the neighbourhood office on behalf of Sandwell council. • Ensure new leaseholders accounts are set up electronically, manual file records are created and maintained, and annual invoices are prepared and delivered to leaseholders, so that leasehold debts are monitored and collected efficiently without attracting contractual penalties. Experience of working in an income related position in a social housing environment. Familiar with Microsoft products, Excel, Word, PowerPoint. Although not essential, you will also have 3 GCSEs or equivalent qualification and a broad secondary education. What's in it for you?
