Scrub Practitioner - RGN or ODP Doncaster, South Yorkshire Full Time Eclypse recruitment are currently recruiting for a Scrub Nurse/ ODP for a small Hospital in Doncaster, South Yorkshire who work with the UK's leading consultants to provide a full range of healthcare services including: Cosmetic surgery, Orthopaedic, ENT, and General Surgery. The Role: To act as Scrub RGN/ODP in surgical procedures within the Operating Theatre. The post holder will provide high standard nursing care for patients within the Operating Department. My client is looking for a Scrub Nurse/ ODP with Orthopaedic experience to join their busy theatre. You will need to be a qualified RGN or ODP IDEALLY with experience. Key Responsibilities: * Act as a scrubbed member of the nursing team, carrying out safety checks of swabs, instruments and needles in conjunction with a second person and immediately reporting any discrepancies to the Surgeon and Nurse In Charge. * Assisting with other members of the team in the preparation and clearing of Theatres. * Assisting with the labelling and despatch of the theatre specimens. * Reporting to the Nurse in Charge, incidents, accidents, and complaints, defects in drugs supplies or equipment. * Assisting in the compiling of the operations register. Maintain accurate patient documentation. * To use the correct procedure when handing a patient into the care of another nurse, giving the correct information and instruction. * To provide assistance to the Anaesthetist and Surgeon.
