Job Description

Joint Head of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) - Band 8c We have an exciting and unique opportunity for a successful applicant for a joint post as Head of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion for both Barnet Enfield & Haringey and Camden &Islington NHS Trusts. In this influential role, you will lead the Trusts in ensuring that we take all practicable steps to create a representative workforce of our local diverse community that we serve, and that the services we provide include and provide for their needs. Furthermore, the post holder will lead on ensuring our equality, diversity and inclusion practices fully incorporate people who access and use our services and their carers/supports. You will draw on your experience of reviewing and implementing changes to policies, frameworks, and systems to achieve our aim of delivering excellence for all people who use our services and champion their quality and diversity. You will work at all levels to help us overcome any real or perceived barriers to employment, volunteering opportunities or access to our services. By drawing on your experience of equality, diversity and inclusion legislation and delivering large scale programmes of work, you will be instrumental in making sure that we live up to our ambitions, both internally and publicly. In addition, you must have a substantial, demonstrable understanding of discrimination legislation across the different legal jurisdictions. You will also have significant experience of developing, managing and evaluating equality, diversity and inclusion initiatives, preferably at a senior or national level. Strong influencing skills and professional presence will be key to your success in this role.
