Job Description
My client is on the search for an Infrastructure Lead to be a key pillar in the company's Transformation programme. (Remote working) Role: Infrastructure Lead Location: Hampshire Rate: £450-£500p/d Contract: 6 Months Start Date: ASAP IR35: Outside. As part of Transformation, my client is implementing new Cloud solutions across the estate, predominantly on AWS. In order to support this Transformation, they are implementing a new Network Transport solution to establish "cloud-cloud" and "cloud-on premise" connectivity across the estate. They have onboarded a third party supplier to design and build the Network solution, engaging with key stakeholders. Main Duties: * Be the programme SPOC for all infrastructure / system connectivity related delivery. * Lead, direct, review & assure the third party supplier delivery. * Work collaboratively with the third party supplier to deliver the best outcome for the comany. * Engage with their IT stakeholders (Network, Security, IT Operations) to enable delivery support & influence decisions. * Work with PMs to support planning and tracking of delivery. Current objectives or projects that this role will support: * Objective is two-fold: ensure successful delivery of the Network Transport solution, co-ordinating the efforts to establish source system connectivity to the new transformation solutions. * The role is part of Data & Orchestration programme, that is implementing a Master Data Management solution and a Network Transport solution. The ideal candidate: * Successfully designed and implemented a Network solution for both "cloud-cloud" and "cloud-on prem" connectivity in an AWS environment. * Experience leading and directing technical delivery of a third party supplier. * Engage and influence a complex set of internal stakeholders as part of technical solution decision-making. Requirements, Experience or Skills: * 5-8 years of experience in designing and implementing Network solutions in an AWS environment. * Implemented CloudFormation security solutions in an AWS environment. * Good all-round understanding and experience across multiple Infrastructure disciplines - Network, Security. * Demonstrable experience managing a complex set of stakeholders and influencing decisions from senior stakeholders. Office Environment: * This role is a part of Data & Orchestration programme, that currently involves 2 PMs, 3 Business Analysts and 1 Architect alongside a Programme Manager. * This role will work very closely with the third party supplier who work in an onsite / offshore model. * This role will also work very closely with the Network & Security Operations team, who are the key stakeholders for this delivery. * In the current context, everyone is working remotely. Even if situation improves, it is expected that there will be a good level of flexibility for remote working.
