This successful site employs c250 people and specialises in the design and manufacture of a diverse range of connectors and interconnect products for a highly demanding customer base in the Aerospace, Military and Industrial sectors. Poised for further growth, and investment, we are now seeking to recruit a Maintenance Engineer (Electrical bias) who will help deliver unrivalled levels of excellence. The successful applicant will be working with the team to ensure that all work and the daily efficient running of the Maintenance to site equipment and Facility, are within targets defined by the Facilities and Maintenance Manager. Key Responsibilities include: Maintaining a responsible attitude to work, be able to work unsupervised and apply technical and manual skills required to meet requirements of the Site and Facility when carrying out: * work appropriate to core specialist skill - electrical bias * Inspections, testing, planned maintenance, and modifications of systems, plant, equipment and buildings repair where appropriate * maintenance, testing and adjustments to installations and systems in compliance with written instructions * Investigations, diagnoses and rectification of faults on mechanical / electrical distribution systems, plant and equipment when appointed to do so * Start up, run, and monitor the operation and shut down of service plant, equipment and systems when authorized to do so. * Installation and repair of piped services, compressed air, vacuum, drainage, heating and cooling. * Strip down, overhaul, set up and test pressure regulating and pressure relieving devices such as air regulators and safety valves * Fabrication or repair miscellaneous supports, structures and items of equipment from various materials * New equipment is installed and relocation of existing equipment throughout the site, including the loading and transportation of equipment * Electrically and mechanically isolate equipment so that it is safe to work on when appointed to do so. * Adhering to the production requirements schedule, and in particular machine capacity plan, to ensure on-time delivery to customers, and raising any issues likely to impede progress with the Facilities and Maintenance Manager. * Maintaining records as appropriate which identify availability of labour, including attendance, absence due to sickness and vacation. * Ensuring day-to-day discipline is maintained in accordance within Company policies and procedures, including time & attendance, absence and holidays, and identifying and implementing action as necessary or referring more serious issues to the Facilities and Maintenance Manager. * Completing and reporting accurate time and attendance data to the Facilities and Maintenance Manager to ensure accurate payment for timesheet * Defining Key Performance Indicators within a published Service Level Agreement (SLA) which ensures production requirements are met and machine down-time minimised. * Implementing preventative and corrective actions in accordance with business priorities. * Maintaining records of Individual training and skills in accordance with Company policies and procedures and identifying any training and development requirements for individuals to the Maintenance Manager or Team Leader for inclusion in the departmental training plan. Essential Qualities include: * Apprenticeship time served - electrical * Minimum of BTECH or apprenticeship level qualification * Safety qualification * 18th Edition qualification * Manufacturing/machine environment experience * Installation of new systems, e.g. lighting, power distribution * Understanding of electrical and mechanical drawings * Adaptability and flexibility with production demands * Trouble shooting and repairing of equipment, logic thinking to repair root cause of problems to minimise reoccurrence of fault This position is a double day rotating shift working Monday to Friday 6am to 2pm week 1 and Monday to Thursday 2pm to 10.30pm and Friday 2pm to 7.30pm week 2.
