Job Summary Job Title: Support Worker Location: Earith Contract: Full time, part time Hours: Up to 39 hours per week Salary: Pending a pay review Contact: Jane on 07736743705 Information: For this role, drivers are desirable but not always essential depending on needs of the individual. You will need to be flexible and able to work various shift patterns including early and late shifts, long days, awake nights as well as sleep-ins for which additional payments will be made. Being a support worker at Thera is all about improving people's quality of life and helping them to be in control of their life. Meeting their goals and aspirations, We are looking for full time, part time & relief Support Workers to join our existing teams that work in a variety of locations across Cambridgeshire. The role will be varied, not only will you become a positive role model in their life, you will be supporting people with many aspects of daily living such as shopping, preparing meals, housework and support with personal care. Never considered support work before? Dont worry everyone has transferable skills. The important factor is that you have the right value base, that you see and treat everyone as an individual with dignity & respect, acknowledging that they have the same rights as everyone else. The role can be very rewarding, however as you would naturally expect there are some difficult and challenging situations. For some people a lack of understanding of the world around them or how to convey their emotions can be demonstrated by a variety of behaviours from self-injurious and/or repetitive behaviour, to anti-social behaviour at periods of great distress.
