Job Description
Upper Marr School Nurse/Health Visiting team are delighted to offer a job opportunity for a Band 6 School Nurse. The post is for 30 hours per week (term-time) based in Gordon Schools, Huntly covering the academy and its feeder primary schools. You will have enthusiasm and experience of working with children and young people and will require excellent communication skills, and the ability to organise and prioritise your own workload. Up to date knowledge of current School Nursing policies and procedures, experience of child protection, multi-agency working, and immunisation programmes is also required. Being an excellent team player and having familiarity with lone working would be an advantage. Car owner/driver is essential. The successful candidate will be either a registered nurse with a degree in School Nursing/ Health Visiting/ Public Health Nursing/Advanced Nursing Practice (School Nursing), or currently a trainee on the Advanced Nursing Practice (School Nursing) programme.
