BAND 3 HCSW 1 x 20 hours P/W, 1 x 27.5 hours pw Permanent Department: Inverclyde CHCP - Community Adult Nursing Hours: 1 post 20 hours per week worked 5 over 7 days 1 post 27.5 hours per week worked 5 over 7 days Grade: Healthcare Support Worker band 3 Base: Inverclyde Community Adult Nursing Role of the department: To provide a community nursing service to the housebound population of Inverclyde The job the applicant will be doing: To assist the registered nurses in the delivery of a range of patient care procedures and to provide essential nursing care to the patient. The post holder will participate in both scheduled and unscheduled care interventions to meet health & social care needs of the local population. The post holder will work within GG&C policies and procedures e.g. Health & Safety, Infection Control & Lone Working. The post holder will also work within clearly defined protocols and guidelines in accordance with GGC Health Care support worker Framework .Using TURAS the post holder will participate in HCSW induction processes and attend and identified training on an ongoing basis which is subject to appraisal by line manager. Within Inverclyde HSCP there is a collaborative partnership approach amongst teams to achieve the best possible outcomes for patients, carers and families Skills / Qualifications: While no formal qualification required SVQ 2 or 3 would be advantageous Good standard of education Good interpersonal skills Basic IT skills required.
