Job Description
An exciting opportunity to join NHS Tayside Opportunities have arisen for Registered Nurses to work in Ward 3, Perth Royal Infirmary. Ward 3 is an acute medical ward but also specialises in care of acutely unwell adults with respiratory illness. This post offers an opportunity for an individual to further advance their nursing skills and knowledge within the field of an acute medical ward. Further opportunity to work in rotation in our Clinical Investigation Unit, an ambulatory treatment area within Ward 3, is available where you will have the opportunity to gain extensive skills such as venepuncture, cannulation and ECG recording. Applicants must have a positive attitude to change and committed to a high standard of care and previous experience at Band 5 level. You should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills along with evidence of continued professional development. You will be supported by a Senior Charge Nurse and 2 Charge Nurses and allocated a team leader who will be responsible for facilitating your ongoing learning and training, formal appraisal and clinical support. The medical floor also holds weekly in house training which all members of staff have the opportunity to attend.
