Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent full time post to be worked over Monday to Friday within the Stoma Clinical Nurse Specialist team. This will provide an opportunity to develop a variety of skills for a wide range of (and often complex) needs. The successful candidate will work daily within Aberdeen Health and Social Care Partnership, surgical wards and clinical settings i.e. Surgical follow up, Pelvic Floor Dysfunction and Stoma Clinic. These are Nurse Led and in conjunction with Consultants for both Stoma and Colorectal patients. The successful candidate will be provided with a robust induction from the Core Team and you will be required to undertake relevant stoma qualifications and attend study days as necessary. You would also be involved in assessing, teaching and ongoing support for patients within the pelvic floor pathway. Excellent communication skills and a team player are vital to this role. The candidate should have at least five years post registration experience - surgical experience would be an advantage. Please refer to the person specification.
