You would be based at The Lyng Centre, Frank Fisher Way, Sandwell, West Bromwich, B70 7AW What hours would you work? You will work 12.5 hours per week; 05:00 - 07:30 Monday to Friday What would you do? Below is a summary of the role; *You will be responsible for the day to day supervision of domestic services, making sure your team delivers a high quality, cost effective cleaning service to NHS standards *You will train staff on their duties, policies and procedures as well as how to safely use equipment *You will complete a range of admin such as timesheets, stock ordering, recording incidents and faults using various IT systems *As well as supervising you will also complete cleaning duties yourself and be responsible for ensuring a clean environment for patients, staff and visitors by; vacuum cleaning; mopping; dusting, cleaning mirrors, baths, showers, sinks, toilets, washing of tiled surfaces and paintwork; walls and ceilings; emptying and cleaning bins and making sure paper towels; toilet tissue; hand soap dispensers. *If you are working in a ward you will usually have additional duties such as washing up and cleaning the kitchen, helping to serve food and drinks and some laundry duties. What experience and skills do you need? *You will need to have some experience in a Domestic or Domestic Supervisors role/ environment *You will be good at multi-tasking, be flexible and will be able to travel between sites *We are looking for people who have the right values and want to make a difference *You will need to have good basic level of English because you will need to speak to patients, visitors and staff in a healthcare environment as well training staff, managing and updating records and dealing with incidents and issues. *You will need to be IT literate: full training will be given however you need to be confident in using technology. What do you need to think about before applying? *This role is physically demanding, and you will be moving/using equipment and furniture, stretching, reaching, bending and doing lots of repetitive movements *You will also be exposed to dirt, dust and smells *If you/ your teams work in a building where you will have access to patients, we will need to complete a DBS (Criminal Record Check) check before we can offer you a job *You will need to be able to work flexibly with early starts and working across sites, please think about how you will travel to different sites and that the hours will work for you.
