We have an exciting opportunity for you to join the Community Adult Speech and Language Therapy team and make a meaningful difference to and improving the lives of adults with communication and / or swallowing difficulties. We are looking to recruit a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to work in the Community Adult Speech and Language Therapy Team. Summary of role To act as a specialist speech and language therapist within the Adult Community Speech and Language Therapy Team which includes adults with complex acquired dysphagia and/or communication impairment. Provide Specialist Speech and Language assessment, intervention, advice and training to adults, their carers and other professionals and agencies involved with the person. To independently manage a defined caseload using evidence based/ client centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions. To be responsible for prioritisation of caseload. Provide specialist clinical support to other therapists Work as part of a team, contributing to the development and evaluation of the services provided. This post involves working in a variety of community settings including patient's homes, day services, educational establishments and respite units. The post holder will be a flexible member of the Speech and Language Therapy team occasionally providing cover, within their scope of practice across the team.
