We have an exciting opportunity at our Crisis Cafe service in Walsall where you will join our friendly and inspiring team as a Team Leader. This role will be a Fixed Term position until 31 March 2021, working full time, 37.5 hours per week based in our Walsall Crisis Cafe. You will need to be able to work flexibly as you will be working as part of a covers the service hours of 6pm - 11pm weekdays and 12 pm - 11pm Saturdays and Sundays. Our Crisis café project offers out of hours coffee and support and is helping to prevent emergency psychiatric admissions, and repeated attendance in already overstretched Emergency departments. Those with mental health problems typically only have ED to turn to if they are reaching a crisis point in the evening the crisis café is an alternative to this. Who are we? What will you be doing? You will be supporting someone in their daily activities and helping them lead a fulfilling life, this can involve things like, * To be professionally accountable and responsible for the delivery of the Crisis café service with direct support from the Service manager. * Working closely with Clinical staff from the NHS. * To be responsible for operational leadership of the crisis café team of which the main aim is to support people to reduce immediate crisis and to safety plan; drawing on strengths, resilience, and coping mechanisms to manage people's mental health and wellbeing. * To ensure staff offer sensitive support and signposting appropriate to the individual's needs. * Assisting people pursue their interests and hobbies * Working with other mental health professionals and the family/friends of the person being supported Do you have what we are looking for? * Minimum 3 years' experience of working with people with mental health problems or a similar service user group within health, social services or the voluntary sector * Experience of partnership working, negotiation and liaison work with other agencies * Experience of staff supervision and coaching * Excellent written and verbal communication skills, tailored to a variety of audiences * Minimum 3 years' experience of working with people with mental health problems or a similar service user group within health, social services or the voluntary sector What will you receive?
