Job Description
Your new role Our AWS Platform and Security administrator will be a passionate individual with a keen and diverse fundamental technical understanding, robust hands on capability, and experience of working in mission critical and challenging project led environments. No two days are the same. You'll help us spin through our implementations making sure our infrastructure is secure and applications are running smoothly on highly performant and resilient AWS platform. Working closely with developers, test engineers, architects and security, you'll deliver high quality environments to meet the business needs. You'll have an opportunity to enhance your technical skills across a wide range of areas and pioneer new technology and methods of working. You can quickly diagnose and resolve platform problems, you can spot why a service is behaving badly in a heartbeat and you can collaborate with developers to resolve code versus infrastructure conflicts. It's a hands-on role and you won't ever be sat twiddling your thumbs. We're looking for a curious engineer who wants to push forward, faster and smarter, never settling for second best. The team you'll join This role will report into our AWS Platform & Security Architect and be part of the wider security team working with colleagues within governance, ISO standards, and PIA's to name a few. What you'll bring These are the skills and experience you'll need to set yourself up for success for this role; however we'd still love to talk to you even if you don't tick all of them: * Experience working in a DevOps and SecOps environment * Understanding of JSON & YAML * Ability to script in Python or GO (other languages a bonus) * Cloud based experience, preferably AWS * Confident communication skills What we'll give you You'll get a benefits package which includes lifestyle benefits like gym discounts, a cycle to work scheme and even free fruit all week!
