Job Description
We are looking for a hardworking, compassionate and well organised Gardener/Handyman to join our team As our Gardener/Handyman, you will be directly contributing to maintaining a homely and welcoming environment within our residential and supported living services. The role is being advertised in Birmingham, however you will be required to travel to other areas nationwide when required. Overall Responsibilities The Gardener/Handyman will be expected to perform a wide variety of gardening maintenance duties including mowing lawns, cutting hedges, garden clearance and other adhoc garden duties. The handyman duties will include various minor property repairs i.e. changing a toilet seat, replacing bulbs, touch up painting, minor fence/gate repairs and other minor general repairs. It is a requirement that you will have consideration and compassion for our vulnerable service users within the supported living sector. We are looking for someone with Gardening and Handyman experience in the Social Housing sector and similar environment. Key responsibilities * Undertake any duties consistent with the overall purpose of the post as directed by the Maintenance Operations Manager. * Undertake gardening and handyman duties as assigned * Minor General repairs in domestic properties * Complete daily PPMs and reactive jobs * Complete PPM Check sheets with photographic evidence of works Skills and competencies * Excellent organisational and time management skills * Ability to use an IPAD * Ability to work under pressure * Gardening/Handyman Skills * Good Verbal Communication Skills * An understanding of confidentiality * A full UK driving licence-use of our company vehicle Benefits * Salary level circa 20,000.00 * Travel Allowance * Annual Company Bonus - Performance based * Company Van * Meal Allowance * PPE, Uniform & footwear * Annual Leave 25 days pa which increases by 1 day, after 1 years' service up to 28 days max.
