Job Description
Commercially JDE is divided into two business units, Retail and Professional. The professional business unit is aligned with 'on the go' consumption of our brands including customer such as offices, hotel groups, pubs and bars and contract caterers. The Marketing Segment Specialist role will be responsible for the development & implementation of local marketing strategy across several segments within our Professional business. As Segment Marketing Specialist, you will be part of the Professional Marketing team, which forms part of the wider Professional business. You will report to the Segment Marketing Manager, working cross functionally with other departments to deliver the Annual Operating Plan through defined Category initiatives & branded full solutions. With significant growth opportunities already identified this is a great opportunity for an entrepreneurial, driven and ambitious individual to make a real personal impact within the leading pure play coffee company, with exposure to leadership giving you the platform to energise your career. * Develop growth strategy with Sales team, identifying optimum target customer base & opportunity to acquire new business within defined segments. * Develop & implement lead generation initiatives against target group. * Best in class customer activation / partnership for key customers in specified segments & with Distributor partners. * Develop lead generation strategy for identified segments eg events presence, direct marketing campaign, telesales. * Support Sales in developing and delivering joint business plans and strategies with our existing Direct end customers * Responsible for the implementation, monitoring and reviewing of activities via key segments and customers with a mindset for continuous improvement * Build compelling fact-based & insight-driven selling stories for our branded full solutions to key segments and customers * Support Category, Finance and Sales teams to deliver executions in a disciplined manner, through defined processes. * Budget management associated with the designated customers and segments. Qualifications: Educated to degree level At least 3 years Trade / Segment / Channel Marketing experience preferably within an FMCG environment Experience of developing & executing lead generation initiatives to identify prospects & acquire new business Passion for marketing excellence and building brands and customer solutions Excellent written and oral communication skills - with track record of building strong relationships/collaboration Strong organizer, disciplined and influencer with the ability to build trust and credibility quickly, delivering to deadlines Experienced marketer with proven success in trade marketing campaigns and customer initiatives Work as a team player as well as work autonomously, with a 'can-do' and 'keep it simple' attitude Strong IT, analytical and commercial skills, particularly in MS Office suite and Excel Manage and track marketing budget for segments and customers
