Job Description

We are looking for a qualified Cognitive Behavioural Therapist in Psychosis to join our expanding team of therapists. The purpose of this role is to provide direct clinical provision to people who are experiencing an early psychosis through individual and group therapy, offering a range of NICE concordant interventions. The EIS is a multi-disciplinary community team and covers a mixture of urban and rural areas across Dorset and manages issues that reflect the needs of those of our local population who are experiencing a first episode of psychosis. With close working links with the local Community Mental Health Teams, as well as the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services, we have established a substantial caseload of patients between the ages of 14 and 65. With relevant experience and training the provision of CBTp, suitable candidates will be highly motivated and interested in promoting the recovery of young and older adults and have the ability to actively engage with people and maintain therapeutic relationships in order to meet their social, psychological and family needs. The successful candidate will carry their own individual CBT caseload of people with first episode psychosis. Employment in this post requires a Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. The DBS levies a charge of 40 and the Trust will recover this cost in instalments from your first 3 salary payments.
