Job Description

We are looking for people with kind, compassionate hearts who want to make a true difference to the quality of life for our clients to join our team in Bournemouth as a CAREGiver. As a CAREGiver, you will provide a variety of non-medical services to help them keep independent in their own home. A typical day could look like this from one of our CAREGivers I normally work with 3 clients in the area. Client one - is 83 years old with early onset of dementia, I arrive at 08:00 to get them up, showered, dressed and serve breakfast. The visit is an hour long which gives me a change to sit down and chat to the client and give added quality to the service we provide. I love to hear the amazing journey this gentleman has been on and the things he has achieved. Client two - is a lady who loves to go out in the community, her visit starts at 09:20 and is for 2 hours. When I arrive I make sure she has breakfast before we embark on her chosen outing. We sometimes go for coffee, shopping or take her to get her hair and nails done. The joy on my clients face is priceless as this is her living her life the way she wants to. Client three: Is a gentleman with an amazing sense of humour. I arrive at 12:00 and this visit is an hour long. We sit down and do a weekly shopping list and i assist in placing this order through the internet. Then we make a lunch together and enjoy a good chat. A few things I love about my job: * I make a positive difference to my clients everyday * I am matched to my clients. This means we have so much in common and never struggle to find something to talk about * My visits are not rushed, I work a minimum of 1 hour * I work my job around my family life * I get paid a good hourly wage * Dedicated team in the office for support * Extra hours of work if i need it Qualifications: You do not need any experience or particular qualifications to become a CAREGiver. However, it would be useful to have some experience of working in a care setting or interacting with older people. This could be personal experience of caring for a family member or voluntary experience. You will have a passion for supporting others and pride yourself on delivering an outstanding service. You will be reliable, trustworthy and respectful. You will enjoy building professional friendships and comfortable in spending time in the company of others.
