Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an innovative individual to work as an IT Administrator within the Renal Service in NHS Fife. You will be expected to work between Victoria Hospital Kirkcaldy and the satellite units at Queen Margaret Hospital, Dunfermline and St Andrews Community Hospital. You should have a wide range of knowledge, skills and experience of Information and Technology, to enable you to manage and maintain the Fife Renal Database System. In addition you will be expected to lead the implementation of the IM&T strategy, and to transfer reports on regular audits to the Scottish Renal Registry. You will also be required to administer the Renal Patient View and to develop further applications of the renal database to aid quality of patient care, patient safety and the efficiency of renal services. Education and training on the database to all levels of renal staff is integral to this position to provide the team with the knowledge to accurately input data into the system in order to maintain efficient working practices. This post is full time, 37.5 hours per week, predominantly worked over 5 days Monday to Friday.
