Requirements You'll enjoy keeping a keen eye on developments at the cutting edge of software development, platforms, architecture and patterns. You will be passionate about doing things the right way and building software that makes a difference to people's lives. You will be interacting with clients on a regular basis, understanding their needs and communicating effectively. We advocate the use of open source software and encourage our developers to contribute to the open source community. We also open source our own projects like Armstrong React. As a Rocketmakers software engineer you'll have core technology skills and will make decisions around the specific needs of projects. We're looking at your flexibility, and ability to develop as new technologies evolve, rather than your current skills. Typical Technologies * Node.js (Typescript/Javascript) * .NET and .NET Core (C#) * SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Redis, Cassandra, MongoDb * Docker, Terraform, Kubernetes, ELK * AWS Stack, Azure Stack, Google Cloud * RESTful APIs and GraphQL * React.js, React Native, SaaS, HTML5 How we work We work in close, multi-skilled teams made up of some of the best designers, developers and architects in the industry. We're always looking to improve our processes and operate in a very agile manner - Kanban or Scrum as appropriate. We work on technically complex projects for great brands such as UK Sport, English Institute of Sport, Zendesk, BBC and Microsoft as well as innovative early-stage and funded start-ups who want to do good while doing well (such as Neighbourly and Pure Planet). We offer very competitive salaries, pension, a very relaxed but professional atmosphere, and much much more. Salary is dependent on experience, but in the region of 30k - 50k per year.
