Kyowa Kirin are currently recruiting for a Supply Chain Planning Manager based from our Galashiels office. Job Purpose Accountable for overseeing, directing and improving overall supply chain strategy for established medicines and operations in order to maximise process efficiency and productivity, with a crucial role in developing and maintaining good relationships with contract manufacturing organisations, distributors and logistics providers. Key Responsibilities * Management of the supply plan that achieves the EMBU business objectives, assigning resources to that plan and to recognise when to readjust accordingly. This will be through managing the process, systems and the people. * Maintain compliance with all cGxP, regulatory, quality requirements, safety and compliance standards relating to supply chain. * Risk management and mitigation for the supply chain over the longer-term horizon. * Optimise operational inventory levels & management of obsolescence. * Drive performance management through key KPIs and provide effective leadership to the supply chain team to develop their potential and to ensure improvements in operational efficiency, key business performance metrics and customer service. * Accountability for CMO relationships for Established Medicines, including assessment of multiple supply planning scenarios that drive the Supply Review Meeting ensuring key issues are resolved and/or escalated to S&OP. * Ownership of the short, medium and long-term supply plans and accountability for operating within healthy supply parameters and deliver continuity of supply. * Empowers the team, guiding and supporting all planning activities, and allowing the team to perform and suggest solutions for process improvements. Facilitate and monitor individual objectives and personal development plans. Ensure staff training records are appropriate, up to date and are in a state of inspection readiness. * Collaborate with operational / functional departments to deliver cross-functional operational improvements and new product introduction. * Develop and maintain strong relationships with Global Supply Chain, Operations and Commercial teams and contribute to the overall Supply Chain strategy development. * Develop and manage relevant departmental budgets Position requirements * Supply Chain professional with significant direct management experience in a pharmaceutical or related regulated environment, with graduate degree or equivalent experience * Knowledge of end-to-end supply chain essential (e.g. Procurement, Manufacturing, Distribution etc.) * Commercial experience preferred, either through experience or education (e.g. MBA).
