Technical Business Analyst

Job Description
The gohenry Technology team is adding a Technical Business Analyst role focusing on a new area of strategic growth for the business. The candidate will be responsible for understanding the requirements proposed by cross-functional Product teams and translate those requirements into detailed functional and technical specifications that the engineering team can work with. The Business Analyst will influence teams in relation to design, technology decisions, timelines and release schedule. The candidate will need to establish close partnership with all the teams in the business to ensure successful releases. What you will do Your key responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to: * Work closely with the Product teams and develop a deep understanding of requirements and functionality that they would like to implement * Write detailed functional and technical specifications that the engineering team can work with. This includes workflow diagrams, database models, API specifications and pseudo-algorithm * Research and recommend solutions to the engineering team if necessary * Proactively follow execution with the engineering team within an agile environment including continuous delivery, quality management and document maintenance What we are looking for * Computer Science degree required * At least 2 years' proven experience in writing functional and technical specifications for a B2C web company * Have a very good understanding of back-end, web and mobile app technology in a demanding consumer environment * Strong technical skills including SQL, Open API (Swagger or other) and microservice architecture are required * Strong problem-solving abilities and capable of articulating specific functional or technical assignment * Strong team player, ability to work in cross-functional teams with marketing, product, design, engineering, operations and partners * Experience in building scalable and highly available global system * Experience in pre-paid card, payment systems, banking is a major plus What we are offering * Competitive salary, working full-time hours * We support flexible and remote working * Free tea, coffee and loads of fruit * Workplace pension scheme * 25 days paid holiday a year * Westfield Cash Health Plan * Westfield Surgery Plan after 3 years' service * Westfield Perks * Training opportunities to further develop your craft * Choose your own equipment About gohenry We're on a mission to make every kid good with money.
