Job Title - Network Engineer Delivery Manager Location - Knutsford, Cheshire An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Global Technology Infrastructure and Services (GTIS) at Barclays. Part of Operations and Technology. We are accountable for delivering resilient, secure infrastructure technology and services to customers, clients and colleagues. We are focused on Customer Availability, driving excellence in service resilience, change management and pro-active problem management. This role is well suited for a candidate who has strong experience in Cisco Routing and Switching at CCNA/CCNP Level and/or Cisco ACI (Application Centric Infrastructure) deployment. The ideal candidate will have exposure to Managing supplier and key stakeholder expectations throughout procurement process. What will you be doing? You will be responsible for the overall deployment and network configuration of new network kit to Data Centre locations Assist and provide input to Solutions Design and Delivery (SDD) engineers, liaising between Business and Technical Areas Track and manage Networks tasks & timescales to the overall project plan and provide updates to the Project Manager Have the ability to understand and interpret complex business and IT requirements, design an appropriate solution and implement the network. End to end project delivery Take ownership for stakeholder management of multiple senior stakeholders within the assigned business area What we're looking for: Proven experience in Cisco Routing and Switching at CCNA/CCNP Level Broad understanding of Network technologies including routing and switching, firewalls and load balancing Proven experience commercial experience in a Support, Deployment or Design capacity Experience with Cisco ACI (Application Centric Infrastructure) deployment Skills that will help you in the role: Experience of managing and influencing stakeholders, achieving high levels of stakeholder satisfaction through setting and meeting / exceeding realistic targets Knowledge of ITIL disciplines Experience of leading and motivating virtual teams (engineers, project managers, transition managers, etc.) within an IT project/programme environment Experience working with workload management tools (Examples: Navigator, JIRA, etc.) Where will you be working?
