Job Description
Payroll Administrator (Temporary) " Excellent temporary opportunity for an SAP experienced, numerate person to provide payroll administrative support to the Head Office payroll team" Salary: 11.00 - 13.00 per Hour Temporary Contract 11 Month Contract (Maternity Cover, Immediate start). Location: Solihull, Birmingham Commutable from: Solihull, Sutton Coldfield, Warwick, Coventry, Rugby, Stratford, Redditch, Bromsgrove, Worcester, Alcester, Evesham, Studley, Birmingham, Stourbridge, Lichfield, Tamworth Our client is a market leader, part of a global plc, and has a number of heavy industrial and engineering, manufacturing sites nationally; they are looking for a Payroll Administrator at their Head Office, (reporting to the Payroll Manager), to cover maternity leave on a temporary 11-month basis. The Role: Responsible for the production of current payroll, insuring compliance with statutory regulations and requirements (HMRC, GDPR etc) Responsible for submission of weekly and monthly payroll and completion of appropriate documentation Validation of input documentation, reporting back discrepancies Validation of output documentation prior to final payments Maintenance and updating employee records Maintenance and updating SAP Suggestions for continuous improvements to processes The Ideal Applicant: Educated to a minimum of 2 A Levels or equivalent in English and Maths/HND/BTEC/Degree in Business Studies or similar. SAP experience essential Knowledge of statutory HMRC regulations essential Experience of previous administrative and payroll duties Self-motivated and the ability to influence others to achieve deadlines Proven interpersonal and communication skills, face to face, on the telephone and in writing Detail conscious, accurate and methodical Proficient in the use of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Google Mail Ability to manage a high workload: good organisational and prioritising skills, with the ability to multi-task and be flexible Ability to problem solve and make rational, logical recommendations Confidentiality and discretion are paramount Excellent command of English Member of Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals desirable Must be available immediately.
