Job Description
Role - Software Engineer (Python OR C#) Location - Central London (Remote for the foreseeable future) Daily Rate - 500 - 600 Start Date - ASAP A Sports Analytics client of mine are bolstering their technical team and looking for a software engineer to be instrumental in the creation of the tools that will hold their products together and introduce much greater self-serve capabilities to their users. The work you will be responsible for is all about making a step-change in the way their teams and clients interact with their technology and the data that will define the future of their businesses. They are happy to move forward with a Software Engineer who is well versed in either Python or C# for the project, although experience with both is a huge advantage. The Person: * A passion for technology with a flair for finding innovative solutions * A talent for Design with a keen eye for detail, structured thinking and best practice * Ability to work in a fast-paced and agile environment * Driven, motivated and inspiring with the ability to mentor & nurture * Both architectural and hands on, with the ability to specify and build * A keen interest in sport or the sports business and real interest in the positive effects we have on our client's businesses would be beneficial. Required experience and skills they are looking for are: * A competent and confident Python/C# Developer, used to developing user facing products * Comfortable with front-end languages such as HTML/CSS/Javascript * If Python, knowledge of a modern Python web framework (ideally Django) * Knowledge of a modern JavaScript framework (React, Angular, Vue.js, Polymer) * In depth knowledge of web performance, accessibility or complementary skillsets Nice to Have * Experience developing web based tools around data management and complex configuration products a plus * Experience in working with and building Restful APIs * Experience in data transformation and modelling (Pandas, Pyspark) * If C# is your thing, then experience with Umbraco * Experience in additional server-side languages, ideally Python * Experience in DBMS technologies such as SQL, Oracle, MySql, MongoDb Apply Now
