Job Description The role: We're looking for a PHP engineer to join our engineering team. This is the team that put the Tech in FinTech, our current team of 10 backend engineers, 2 frontend developers and 1 devops engineer have helped transform finance by building a next generation lending platform and they're at it again with a brand new product launching this year. There's a lot to do, from building and integrating new API's to further improve the customer journey and optimising the lending platform through to deep architectural discussions and new product development. What you'll be working on: * Building API's for new partnerships * Helping launch a new product platform for launch in 2019 * Migration from Symfony v3.4 to v4 Our Tech Stack Backend: * PHP 7.2 * Symfony 4.4 * Node.js * AWS * MySQL * RabbitMQ * Docker * Kubernetes Frontend: * React & React Native, TypeScript, MobX, Redux, Stylus and SASS Other: * Jenkins and CircleCI - we deploy to production as soon as we finish a feature * Behat, PHPUnit, Jest, Selenium and Detox for automated testing Qualifications What we're looking for: * Strong PHP development experience, ideally with PHP 7.3 * A good understanding of a modern PHP framework like Symfony, Zend or Laravel * Strong understanding of abstraction and interpolation * A keen desire to want to learn and input into a highly collaborative team * If you've worked in a Kanban environment, it would be a plus but not needed Additional Information What's Next: We're not a corporate so we try our best to get things moving as quickly as possible.
