And never have the opportunities to do things differently been more exciting. We have a fantastic opportunity to join the Senior Leadership Team in a busy operational area. We are looking for an enthusiastic, inspirational and kind leader, who is passionate about the environment, to lead our Environment Management Department. Your teams will regulate a range of operations as well as responding to incidents and will take enforcement action when needed. You will need to build great working relationships with businesses that we regulate, Local Authorities and communities to help deliver our ambitions for the local environment. You'll be a highly visible leader, able to inspire and motivate people to achieve great outcomes. You'll know how to make our ambitions and priorities resonate with others so plans are converted into actions that deliver outcomes where they matter most. The team As a member of our team, you will help provide strategic leadership for about 400 people, including in our response to incidents that threaten lives and harm to the environment. You will be responsible for a particular geographic patch and delivery of our regulatory and enforcement activities across the whole of the area. You'll bring passion to the role to inspire those you work with and those we seek to influence in the wider community. Experience/skills required We are looking for someone who is dynamic, a great communicator and who loves a challenge. You'll think and work strategically to build the networks and relationships needed to deliver our ambitious programme. Commercial and ambitious in your outlook, you'll be able to make the most of limited resources. You will be committed to developing yourself and those around you, providing a positive role model to create an inclusive and trusting culture.
