Royal Berkshire Hospital NHS Foundation Trust Locum Consultant in Respiratory Medicine (with GIM) (replacement post) Applications are invited for the position of Locum Consultant in Respiratory Medicine, where the successful applicant/s, of this replacement post, will join our friendly respiratory department. The department consists of 7 Respiratory Consultants and 2 Acute Physicians with respiratory specialism (8.35 FTE, including this post) that provide Ward duties on a rotational timetable, Respiratory clinics, procedure lists and a small contribution to the General Medical on call rota. This is an exciting time to join a forward thinking and expanding department, with cross organisational working, supportive colleagues, all working together to improve the lung health of our local population. The current 10PA job plan includes 4 weeks in 16 on Ward duties, 2-3 general and 1-2 sleep/ventilation clinics a week when off the ward. Physician of the day duties 1 in 30 weekdays and 1 in 30 weekends, weekend respiratory ward rounds 1 in 8, and a contribution to the pleural procedure and bronchoscopy/EBUS lists, but this can be adapted to suit the interests and experience of the successful applicant/s.
