Job Description
Here at ARC we are looking for a key group of Class 1 experienced NIGHT drivers. Predominately night shift work based in Tamworth. All branch deliveries are through the night departing from 19:00 to 03:00, on average the routes have between 2 and 6 drops delivering cages, pallets and totes (10-12 hour shifts) Drivers are required to open up branches, deliver, collect empties and secure the branch, so you will be lone workers delivering on your own (which isn't for everyone) Before a driver drives for our client you must be assessed and have your safe systems of work trained, the assessment is 2hrs long and includes a written test mainly on the highway code and drivers hours, if this part is passed then you will complete the health and safety part. You will also go out with an existing driver on a short shift to see what is required at branch, we will pay you £100 for the health and safety training and the run - we pay this once you have completed your first 5 shifts. You must have at least 6months UK driving experience, must speak fluent English as every route comes with instructions, maps and risk assessments. You need to be available Monday - Friday (Sunday work also available) Rates of pay: LTD: Class 1- Mon-Thurs £14.00 p/h and Fri - Sun £18.00 p/h PAYE: Class 1 Mon-Thurs £12.00 p/h Fri-Sun £15.50 p/h Work to commence as soon as possible and will be on going through out 2019/2020. Required licence for 1 year and no more than 6 points, no DD and DR'S with an induction and written assessment next week. This is a great opportunity and will be regular work all year around.
