Stirlings is located near the heart of the beautiful market town of Wantage providing residential care to 40 residents. Activities Co-Ordinator Location: Wantage, Oxon Hours of work: 37 hours (Fixed Term Contract) Rate of Pay: 9.36 - 11.87 per hour The Orders of St John Care Trust is the 2nd largest not for profit care provider in the UK specialising in providing high quality, person centred care for older people, in care homes and extra care housing. Stirlings Stirlings offers compassionate, individualised residential and dementia care for up to 40 residents. It has a strong connection with the local community, and has been serving the local and wider Oxfordshire residents for over 50 years. Set in peaceful and beautifully tended grounds, the home is located in a quiet residential location, near to the historic centre of Wantage. We are currently looking to recruit an Activities Coordinator to join our team. As an Activities Coordinator, you are absolutely essential to the well-being of the residents that we support. At the Trust we aim for our homes to be vibrant, joyful communities with a wide range of stimulating activities and entertainment available, with something to suit every taste and ability. You will be required to get to know our residents, and their families; to tailor an on-going programme of activities and events aimed at promoting their independence and social engagement, and to ensure everyone has personalised involvement that suits their needs. We are looking for someone who has experience working with older people in a residential setting. You must have good knowledge and awareness of Dementia and understand how to implement individual meaningful activities. If you feel you have the skills and experience to support the Home Manager in creating and maintaining a high level of service, we would love to hear from you.
