Job Description
Remote Highways Quantity Surveyor - Work From Home We are looking for well-rounded Quantity Surveyor to join our client's London Highways project team remotely (Work From Home) to assist in the delivery of Projects and Maintenance schemes on a 6 month contract . As Quantity Surveyor, you will assist in the delivery and governance of commercial services to the Term Maintenance Contract to achieve both value for money for the client and sustainable shareholder value consistent with the contracts, tender and agreed. The role is broad and includes anything from risk management to procurement, financial reporting and managing both the supply chain and direct works. In brief you will... * Control costs against the original estimates and budgets. * Identify and process early warning and compensation events. * Assess Subcontractor liabilities. * Review and process of subcontractor applications for payment. * Produce WIP report to Commercial Manager * Maintain accurate cost and value records to present to management and to support applications to the client. * Maintain an assessment of commercial risks. About You... The ideal Quantity Surveyor will be professionally qualified with a few years of post graduate experience. You will have an understanding of civil engineering and highways measurement principles and be capable of practical application of the same to complete or assess take offs from drawings, production of BoQs or Activity Schedules. You should have an understanding of NEC3 form of contract and its application within Highways Works If you are a Quantity Surveyor and fit this profile, then we'd love to hear from you.
