Job Description

We are searching for a strong Sous Chef to join one of the leading hotels in the U.K. The hotel is part of a fantastic hotel collection with properties all over the world. The Hotel has a separate casual dining restaurant that currently holds 2AA rosettes given guests a less formal dining atmosphere but offering still high level of cooking. The ideal candidate will have a stable working history in 4 & 5-star hotels or currently working in a rosette accredited restaurant. The salary on offer is 32,000 which is inclusive of service charge. Overall, we are looking for an individual that has experience working in rosette accredited restaurants and hotel across the country, the right candidate will have a great determination and passion for food and is wanting to benefit their career. Candidate Role Deputise for the head chef in his absence Lead the team to a 2 Rosette standard, ensuring consistent quality through a hands-on approach Train and develop the junior members of staff Work with the head chef and management team to drive the food and beverage offering forward Contribute to new menu ideas and dish development Assist with rotas, stock takes, financial targets and day to day management issues Work across all sections of the kitchen, providing support where needed Ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and due diligence are kept Candidate Specification 1/2Rosette experience is essential Ideally from a hotel background Experience in conference and banqueting an advantage A calm, cool head under pressure Attention to detail and a meticulous approach Excellent time keeping, man management and personal skills Be friendly and approachable Be focused and driven to produce standards of excellence The Employer Great Salary Tips Package 2 AA Rosette 5* Hotel Part of a world-renowned group Contact our consultants today for more information on this exciting position- 01422 893 009 In line with the requirements of the Asylum & Immigration Act 1996, all applicants must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
