Technical Manager

Technical Manager Location: Ringwood Position: Permanent, full time. Monday to Frida, 37.5 hours per week. Shifts: Exact shift pattern TBC. Salary: 35k+ DOE We are currently working on behalf of a leading beverage manufacturer who are proud to be the UKs leading supplier of cooking wine the UK off-trade market. They are now looking for a Technical Manager to join them. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of food safety, ensuring the work of the production department is compliant with all legislative requirements for safety, integrity, and legality. Key responsibilities * To outline the company's technical business strategy and manage implementation * Champion a culture of continuous improvement * Act as the technical interface between the company and customer, offering a bespoke and responsive technical resource * Assist the QA team in developing and maintaining a structured Quality Management approach, identifying training requirements and implementing learning and development plans where required * Ensure compliance with statutory Food Safety, Integrity, Environmental and H&S legislation * Developing & maintaining system compliance to relevant BRC, ISO & Customer accreditation standards * System development (Hardware specs/Topography) * Regular assessment and development of processes and equipment suitability * To strive to meet and exceed where possible, all department KPIs and those of the wider business * To undertake duties/training as determined by the needs of the business Requirements * Experience gained from a similar managerial position in a food or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment * Brewery experience desirable * Expert understanding of food safety systems with HACCP qualification * Reliability, flexibility and diplomacy, with the ability to drive improvements in standards and behaviours This position will suit a versatile candidate, who is able to demonstrate ownership of tasks in a flexible and changing environment.
