About Us We are currently looking to recruit a full-time Approved Mental Practitioner (AMHP) or Social Worker, who is willing to undertake the necessary training to qualify as an AMHP, in the North Warwickshire Mental Health Recovery Team (Nuneaton, Bedworth, Rugby and surrounding areas). This is a multi-disciplinary team consisting of Social Workers and Health professionals, including Community Psyciatric Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Psychiatrists, Psychologists and Support Workers. Team members work collaboratively with other departments, including the hospital inpatient service, rehabilitation service and the Crisis team, to provide care to people in the community who have been diagnosed with a form of psychosis. The service promotes the Recovery Model to maximise a person's potential, individual's strengths and personal recovery by addressing their health and social care needs such as medication; employment support, enhancing opportunities for social inclusion, education and leisure; and support in managing their day to day mental health condition. The Role We are looking for an ambitious, enthusiastic and dynamic individual who is person-centred in their practice and passionate about working in mental health. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills and will work effectively as both a team player and on their own initiative. They will hold an individual caseload and will also be involved in the 'shared care' of more complex and challenging cases, in addition to being on the team duty rota and undertaking weekly assessments for new referrals. Mental Health Services in Warwickshire are delivered via integrated teams and managed by Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership Trust (CWPT) in collaboration with the Local Authority under our S75 agreement. The promotion of effective social care is firmly embedded within the service and social workers have a clear identity supported by a dedicated management team, regular clinical and professional supervision and regular Social Care Forums.
