Job Description
Clinical Lead for Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder Assessments Exciting opportunities within Berkshire Healthcare Trust Through co-production the Trust has developed a comprehensive care pathway for individuals who may meet criteria for Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder (EUPD). We are now seeking enthusiastic professionals to appoint to key operational and clinical roles to lead on the implementation and delivery of the pathway. Interventions will be delivered across multiple sites Berkshire and successful candidates will be expected to travel across the Trust. The existing pathway already includes: * Structured Clinical Management (SCM) delivered by clinical staff with the Community Mental Health Teams * MBT & DBT delivered through our IMPACTT (Intensive Management of Personality disorder and Clinical Therapies Team) service * PICT (Psychologically informed Consultation and Training) Psychologists working with Inpatients, Community services and Primary Care to support delivery of the pathway. New components to the pathway for implementation in 2020 are: Psychological Assessment Band 8b Clinical/Counselling Psychologist post 1x 0.8 wte Are you an innovative and forward-looking clinical / counselling psychologist with experience and expertise in conducting structured assessments for Personality Disorder e.g. IPDE and have a substantial record of working with complex, often challenging and high risk presentations within multi-disciplinary settings? Do you have post-qualification training or substantial experience delivering interventions specific to working with EUPD e.g. Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Mentalization-Based Treatment (MBT), and/ or Structured Clinical Management (SCM)? This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, innovative and hard-working psychologist to work as part of IMPACTT (Intensive Management of Personality-Disorder and Clinical Therapy Team) - a specialist therapy team working with personality disorders. The team is made up of a variety of professionals including clinical and counselling psychologists, psychotherapists, psychological therapists and assistant psychologists, providing the specialist function of completing assessments and providing formulations of clinical presentations suggestive of EUPD for the Trust, alongside delivering two therapy programmes: Mentalization-Based Treatment (MBT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and providing liaison and consultation to other key professionals in the organisation. You will be joining a supportive organisation where psychological therapists work closely with other professionals and agencies to offer high-quality care across Berkshire. Whilst there is a strong ethos of multi-disciplinary team working, you will also be part of a network of psychotherapists and psychologists across Berkshire. You will be supported in your continuing professional development, including advanced post-qualification training in relevant areas. Candidates must hold a UK recognised qualification in clinical/counselling psychology and have current UK professional registration with the Health and Care Professions Council or a core mental health profession and UKCP registration. An enhanced DBS check is required and you will need to travel between bases in Berkshire as required.
