Advance has an exciting opportunity for Casual Support Workers to join our Banbury Supported Living complex. The service provides support to adults with learning disabilities who experience challenging and chaotic lifestyles. The complex comprises of 9 independent flats in a Supported Living complex. There is a communal lounge, TV, PlayStation, kitchen and laundry facilities on site for support demonstrations of cooking, washing and cleaning. The service is staffed 24 hours and a sleep in is also provided. We also provide an outreach support service for customers with mental health & learning disabilities living in their own homes in the community, providing housing related support to enable customers to gain the skills required to move on to independent living. As a Casual Support Worker, you will help people to fulfil their lives in their home or out in the community. This might include motivating someone to eat healthily or visit the gym or providing support to a person with emotional problems, and help to access the community through support with shopping, health appointments and day to day activities.
