Pharmacy UHCW NHS Trust is looking for you to join this busy teaching hospital. We are looking for both community and hospital trained registered pharmacy technicians. This role is perfect for an ambitious individual to develop an understanding of the evolving NHS and have the opportunity to learn new skills on the way. Our technical structure is broad and diverse from 8b Leads, band 7s and extensive band 6 and 5 roles in specialist areas. We offer a band 4 to band 5 step up with a structured rotational programme tailored to your individual development and career progression needs to ensure that you have the necessary skills and competencies. Once these have been met and you have been demonstrating our Trust values and behaviours you will be able to move into the band 5 role. The post will involve a working rotation to include duties in medicines distribution and stores, the dispensary, aseptic production, ward based services and clinical trials. When working in the dispensary, you will be supplying medications for inpatients and discharge medications for patients going home from hospital. You will work closely with the pharmacy team and multi-disciplinary teams on the wards to provide high quality pharmaceutical care to all patients within the Trust, whether in a dispensary or ward based aspect. We pride ourselves on our pharmacy mission statement: ' Delivering patient focused excellence in medicines use ' Applicants must have excellent IT skills, have good communication and interpersonal skills and work in a positive manner, with other healthcare professionals. Candidates should hold S/NVQ Level III in Pharmacy Services and BTEC National Certificate in Pharmacy Services or equivalent and be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
