A Grevill House offers nursing, residential and intermediate care to 50 residents in its own gardens within walking distance of Charlton Kings village, on the eastern edge of Cheltenham. Day Nurse - Full Time, 37.5 hours a week (or more if you'd like) Grevill House, Charlton Kings Grevill House/Ashley Unit is a 50 bed Nursing/Residential home attached to a 15 bed Intermediate care facility, located in within a short walk of Charlton Kings, a suburb of Cheltenham. Grevill House is a well-established care home which have forged strong community links to ensure a transparent approach to living and working within a care home. The Multi-cultural team is led by a Home Manager who ensures that all staff are well supported to achieve their own developmental aspirations. The Ashley Unit provides an invaluable rehabilitation service that enables residents to be reskilled and relocate back to their own homes. This purpose built building provides a supportive environment for residents and the team alike. We're looking for a qualified Day Nurse with current NMC pin. It's a varied role and you may expect to develop a care plan, provide medicine safely, oversee the care team plus deliver nursing care to our residents. You will have the ability to understand and manage the complexities of the multitude of clinical and psychological factors that affect the health and well-being of our elderly residents, whilst in turn supporting their families. Skills and requirements * Compassion and understanding * Ability to develop caring relationships with residents * Clear verbal and written communication * Patience * Promoting person centred care and independence What else we're looking for: Experience of producing well developed care plans and risk assessments is important too, as is an understanding of regulatory frameworks, including DoLs and MCA. Plus experience or willingness to train in: * Catheterisation * Syringe drivers * PEG feeding * Verification of Death * Venepuncture * Blood monitoring * Plus understanding of aseptic technique, epilepsy, sepsis What will you get in return?
