Job Description
On behalf of my client we are recruiting for Two Children's Residential Support workers to join their organisation within the Skelmersdale area. Ideally you will have your Diploma Level 3 Children & Young People's Workforce or NVQ equivalent, and previous experience working with children and young people with EBD. You must also have knowledge of Quality Standards & Regulations and of the Children Act. You will be required to maintain the development of positive childcare practice in keeping with the aims and objectives of my Client. To provide a safe, warm and supportive environment for the young resident. Carry out duties in line with policies and equal opportunities. To comply with company rules, policies and practices of the establishment and to respond to emergencies which may arise within the establishment. To foster and encourage, whenever appropriate contact between residents and their families. Promote and encourage learning by the young people and to work with the young people on educational activities within the programme of education devised by my client. You must have a full driving licence and vehicle. The shifts will be 10am-10pm (12 hours no sleeps) working two days on four days off, this works out approximately 120 hours a month - £8.86 per hour
