Warehouse Operative Hours per week: 37.5 Hourly wage: 9.55 - 11.00 per hour plus Shift Enhancement, dependent on experience Shift patterns: 6.30am 2.30pm / 14:00pm 10pm - alternate every two weeks Contract Status: Permanent Reporting to: Warehouse Manager Background Orean Personal Care has developed an award-winning reputation for quality, service and speed and has been in operation for over 20 years. As a private label cosmetic manufacturing company, we pride ourselves in being able to create, produce, package and distribute high-end product ranges whilst maintaining long lasting relationships with our clients. Based in our factory in Cleckheaton, West Yorkshire, we have over 120 people working together to produce top quality products to clients across the UK and beyond. Due to a significant increase in orders, we are looking for Warehouse Operatives to join our team on a fixed term contract. We are looking for an individual who is capable of working in a busy Warehouse department. With a keen eye for detail, highly dexterous and the ability to complete tasks with high quality output in line with company procedures. You would be required to maintain stock integrity, ensure goods are checked in, picked and moved accurately and according to relevant procedures. Warehouse Operatives shifts alternate fortnightly, with morning shifts operating from 6.30am -14:30pm and afternoon shifts from 14:00pm 10pm. Orean wages are paid above the living wage and there is opportunity for permanent positions and progression within the company for high performing individuals. The Orean Vision To provide the most desirable contract manufacturing experience Our values COLLABORATION: To create deep long-lasting relationships for the benefit of all AMBITION: To continue to grow and evolve with resilience and enthusiasm EXPERTISE: To acquire and apply appropriate knowledge, innovation and technology INTEGRITY: To be straightforward, open, honest and fair AGILITY: To respond efficiently and effectively to all requirements and challenges Job Description Health & Safety * To support the Head of Warehouse in delivering a 'right first time' service, whilst adhering to all company Quality, Health and Safety policies * Ensure housekeeping and hygiene levels are maintained, including keeping the line clear of debris and ensuring all rubbish is placed immediately in bins Key Responsibilities * To ensure stock integrity is maintained * Ensure stock is picked on time and in full and appropriately located for production * Ensure goods-in are checked against the delivery note and stored in the appropriate location * To maximise warehouse utilisation through stock consolidation * Maintain a high level of housekeeping * Any other duties required for the role Requirements Knowledge, Experience and Work Skills Needed: * Minimum of 1 year Warehouse Operative Experience * Experience of supporting team leader and taking on additional responsibilities * A good level of education minimum, Maths and English GCSE (A-C) * Desirable - Counter Balance or Pivot Steer Licence Personal characteristics * Ability to confidently communicate in English with people from all levels within the business * Able to listen to your colleagues and provide support and direction as and when required * High attention to detail, ability to spot and rectify errors as they occur * Able to conduct manual, repetitive work whilst maintaining high quality standards * Organised and able to maintain accurate records * Flexible in your approach to working hours, * Have high personal standards with a mindset for continuous improvement * Ability to work in a fast paced environment Benefits * 25 day annual leave plus 8 paid bank holidays * Option to buy/ sell up to 5 days annual leave * Up to 5% employer pension contribution * Life Assurance * Private Medical Health Insurance from April 2020 * Bi-annual Staff events including team building day * Fruit Monday's * Car Share Scheme
