Band 5 Staff Nurse - Neurological Rehabilitation Centre

The Neurological Rehab Centre on the Edgware site is a small 14 bed level 2 unit, the unit provides rehabilitation programmes for adults who have had an accident resulting in trauma, brain injury or may have had a neurological condition that has caused functional deterioration, we are unique in the aspect that we work closely with the community team. We are looking for a star, somebody who is passionate about making the smallest difference to a patient's recovery. Do you thrive working in a strong multi-disciplinary team, where your opinions and advocacy for your patients is key to the goals and planned care. Our patients stay with us from 6 -12 weeks and the rewarding part of the job is establishing a relationship with them and watching them progress through their Rehabilitation plan towards a level of independence. We have a very good professional profile in the world of Rehabilitation, and could also look at rotation to acute/stroke/neurology experience if the successful applicant is interested in this level of development. There is mentorship and support for development from our dynamic team at the NRC as well as within the Royal Free Hospital. The Trust has a Comprehensive 12 months Preceptorship with individually tailored training. There are also opportunities for developing Leadership skills for the talented and aspiring leaders of the future, and after 9 month's opportunities for the Internal Transfer Scheme.
