As Resident Medical Officer, you'll play a crucial role providing on call cover for Cygnet Appletree and Cygnet Victoria House. Cygnet Victoria House (DL1) is a 25 bed acute mental health inpatient service for men. The service, split across two wards, provides a safe and stabilising environment for men who are experiencing an acute episode of mental illness and require an emergency admission. Cygnet Appletree (DH7), near Durham, is a 26-bed mental health hospital for women. It has two wards including Bramley Ward, a high dependency inpatient rehabilitation service and Pippin Ward, an emergency acute admissions service. Cygnet Appletree is rated 'Good' by the CQC With accommodation and meals provided, you'll be onsite at all times, covering on call between 5pm and 9am and weekend shifts. Generally you will work on a fortnightly rota of 4 days on / 3 days off and then 3 days on / 4 days off.
