Associate Director of Operations for Urgent Care Southport and Ormskirk Hospitals NHS Trust Urgent Care Permanent Fulltime- 37.5 hours per week Band 8D 75,914-87,754 Southport & Ormskirk Hospitals NHS Trust provides healthcare in hospital and the community to 258,000 people across Southport, Formby and West Lancashire. Acute care is provided at Southport and Formby District General Hospital and Ormskirk District General Hospital. This includes adults' and children's accident and emergency services, intensive care and a range of medical and surgical specialities. Women and children's services, including maternity, are provided at Ormskirk Hospital. The North West Regional Spinal Injuries Centre at Southport hospital provides specialist care for spinal patients across the North West, North wales and the Isle of Man. The Trust also provides sexual health services for the Metropolitan Borough of Sefton. A fantastic opportunity has arisen, following the promotion of a previous post holder, to recruit an Associate Director of Operations for Urgent Care. Working as part of a triumvirate alongside the Associate Medical Director and Head of Nursing, this post will work as part of a Senior Leadership Team reporting to reporting to the Chief Operating Officer (Steve Christian). The role will require strong communication and negotiation skills to influence senior clinicians and other key stakeholders both across the organisation and externally with partners. The post holder will need to be able to demonstrate credible experience at senior level in an acute setting, with a track record of delivery (within emergency medicine would be seen as an advantage).
