Internal Applicants Only Senior Support Worker - Secondment Opportunity Short Breaks Banstead Full time: 37.5 hours per week (worked flexibly over a 7-day period) Salary: 23,460 - 25,630 per annum Every Life, Every Chance We have an exciting opportunity within our Short Breaks team recruiting a Senior Support Worker. Short Breaks Respite Service is dedicated to offering a personal approach to our customers as they take a break in our fully accessible accommodation. At Surrey Choices we recognise that every respite break will be unique and spending time getting to know our customers so that the service is focused on their aspirations and ambitions. The successful candidate for this role will strive to continuously improve our service and promote Surrey Choices core values in all tasks undertaken. Some of the duties are outlined below, but the list is not exhaustive: Role specific objectives * Provide leadership and direction to staff to ensure compliance with all Surrey Choices requirements, promotion of Surrey Choices values and active support for Business Unit and Surrey Choices objectives. * Ensure that the service remains customer focused at all times and the standards relating to support and safety are maintained at a high level. * Actively motivate, encourage and develop staff to ensure a high level of competence, professionalism and customer focus. * Provide formal and informal supervision for staff. * To maintain appropriate and accurate record keeping, including personal care records, Support Plans and key worker records and to notify the Duty Officer of any significant change in an individuals' health and wellbeing. * To work in any area of the service in accordance with the agreed aims and objectives of the Day Care Service.
