Psychiatrist - HMP YOI Portland & The Verne

We're looking for a Psychiatrist to support the Regional Manager, based at HMP YOI Portland. What will you be doing? This is an exciting time to join HMP YOI Portland with a new mental health specification which is improving care to the prison population. As the Psychiatrist for HMP YOI Portland, you'll provide dynamic leadership of the mental health profession across the Care UK Health in Justice services. You will be pivotal in engaging the mental health workforce to support the delivery of the organisation's objectives, ensuring the provision of an effective high quality mental health workforce within the available resources. As the Psychiatrist, you'll support the Regional manager in shaping the policies and strategies for developing and modernising mental health practice throughout the Health in Justice Service line in order to ensure high quality, safe and appropriate healthcare services for our patients. Salary and Benefits This is a part time role, working 32 hours per week. The hours would be 8am - 5pm with a 1 hour lunch. We are flexible on the day per week you would wish to work.
