Are you looking to use your nursing skills caring for patients and supporting them with physical rehabilitation within an inpatient unit? Oakwood is a busy, 24 bed community inpatient unit where you will be caring for and working with our patients to improve their independence. Located at Prospect Park Hospital in Reading, you will have access to our on-site gym, restaurant and free parking. Further information about this opportunity; In this role you will: * Care for patients with short term physical rehabilitation once they've left acute care. * Ensure optimal patient safety and recognise deteriorations. * Use clinical skills such as wound management. * Have empathy and compassion for those in your care. * Be able to discuss sensitive situations in a kind, clear and respectful manner. * Work autonomously to foster relationships with individuals and professionals across agencies and services. * The service operates 24 hours a day 7 days a week, so work on a rota will be required. * Shifts to cover the service are: * Early: 7am-3pm, * Late: 1pm-9pm, * Long Days: 7am-8.30pm, * Night: 8.15pm-7.15am and weekends. * Enhancements paid for Nights and Weekends and flexibility around shifts worked Some of the benefits of joining our team: * AfC Salary ranging from 24,907 to 30,615 per annum * Flexible working opportunities and a strong emphasis on your work , life balance * Annual leave - 27 days for new starters, plus bank holidays.
