An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) to join the North East Essex out of hours (OOH) service on a permanent full time or part time basis. The North East Essex OOH service provides advice, information and treatment for NHS patients who become unwell during the out-of-hours period when their own GP surgery is closed. The OOH's operates out of two existing primary care centres in Essex, however we are specifically looking for ANPs who are able to work in the locations below; * North Colchester Healthcare Centre, Colchester * Clacton & District Hospital, Clacton The skill mix within these services is ANP's, UCP's and GP's, incorporating urgent care, telephone triage, face to face appointments and home visits. As part of this job, you'll see, treat and discharge patients of all ages that present minor illnesses or minor injuries, either over the phone or face-to-face in the base or when you're doing a home visit. The Requirements Essential: * Be a qualified General Nurse with valid PIN Number. * Be an Independent Nurse Prescriber * Have evidence of continuous Professional Development * Have a postgraduate ANP qualification or equivalent * Have post registration experience of working in Primary Care; GP Practices, WIC's, UCC's, OOH's or Minor Injuries/Illness Units Desirable: * Have a knowledge of local primary care services * Have a full complete understanding of the medico-legal aspects of the role * Have basic IT skills Salary & Benefits We have permanent, bank or self-employed jobs available. Permanent jobs are offered on a full or part time basis, working up to 37.5 hours per week As we are an OOH service, we are looking for ANPs who can work evenings, overnights and weekends. Our shifts are varied and range from 4 hours - 12 hours during the evenings/overnights and from 8 - 12 hours on the weekend.
