Job Description
Title - Labour Planning Manager, Amazon Shipping At Amazon, delivering great experiences for our customers is top priority. ATS is seeking for a passionate, analytical and technical person who will build a labour planning function for ROC. This person will work with stakeholders and data sources to recommend on-going weekly, hourly staffing plans and shift structures to meet SLAs. The ideal candidate has an experience in production planning/labour planning and passion to relentlessly dive deep, improving the accuracy and efficiency of the planning process. EU ROC Overview The EU Relay Operations Centre (ROC) is the central control team for Amazon Transportation Services, supporting both domestic and inter-country FTL transportation movements for European geographies. The team is responsible for managing daily operations and addressing any issue to ensure that trucks/vehicles arrive on time to schedule at our fulfilment centres across Europe. The ROC plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth functioning of Amazon's European transportation network and thereby has direct impact on Amazon's ability to serve customers on time. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: - Build the Labour planning function and implement the model for centralized labour planning across EU and Hyd. - Work with regional operations and finance team to complete weekly, peak labour plans, as well as OP1/OP2 headcount plans. - Deliver scalable models and action plans for senior leadership to ensure right capacity by region, by shift to achieve ROC SLAs. - Leverage central teams (ATS planning, scheduling, tech teams, HR, program teams) to drive process improvement for ROC planning and execution. - Use data and bias for action to work through ambiguity and deliver results - Hire and develop a team of labour planning analysts - Own the effective communication of metrics and analysis. KEY CHARACTERISTICS Proven expertise managing, evaluating, and quickly analysing data to create meaningful business impact. Ability to develop strategic relationships with business partners. Can root cause issues quickly and uncover core issues using data, then assist, consult with, and teach the business how decisions affect costs and service level in their sites and create new mechanisms as needed. Proven ability to make meaningful contributions with competing priorities and provide level-headed guidance during unexpected events. Compensation: Competitive Location: London, England
