Function of the role: Our clients work in a wide range of industries; from scientists developing new medical technology to architects working on ground-breaking construction projects. You will be working alongside your clients, reviewing and analysing their latest R&D projects to secure funding for future development. This will assist them in extending and expanding their businesses. You will be doing this alongside a team of highly qualified Financial and Technical professionals, leveraging your knowledge and expertise to help our clients and their R&D projects. Main responsibilities of the role include: * Working primarily in the preparation and review of Engineering related R&D tax claims covering various industries ranging from (but not limited to) Financial Services, Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical, Food, Construction, Chemicals, Heavy Industry and Automotive * Working with a variety of high-profile clients and liaising with Managing Directors, Financial Directors, CEOs, CTOs * Generating new value propositions for varied businesses in relation to their R&D projects and strategies * Drafting clear technical narratives and financial analysis documents related to R&D activities carried out by clients in different sectors * Working with a variety of high-profile clients and liaising with Managing Directors, Financial Directors, CEOs, CTOs * Interacting with HMRC, to provide additional support to defend the claims prepared if necessary Desired experience and skills: * Minimum 2 years' industrial experience as an Engineer * Degree in Engineering or related discipline (Master's degree beneficial). * Project Management * Stakeholder Management * Curiosity, awareness and a keen interest in science, technology and innovation. * Excellent communication (both spoken and written) * Excellent numerical ability * The ability to work to strict deadlines * No prior tax knowledge is required Our benefits: * Private Healthcare and Dental * Access to Perkbox * Flexible working * Season ticket loan * Cycle to work scheme * Supporting of professional memberships * 24 hour access to our bespoke training platform * Bring your dog to work policy * Annual charity days About Leyton: Founded in 1997, Leyton is a global innovation funding consultancy dedicated to helping our clients improve their business performance.
